The 310 is the standard & the 311 is the slotted. Both are available in left or right hand. Both come with 35 yds of 130 # braided dacron line. I use the slotted most of the time as you never know when that monster fish may show up and I don't want to 
loose it because I am not using the right equipment. With the 311 slotted; if the fish decides to run, it will pull out all the line with a float attached to the end of the line.  I then can retrieve the float and ease the fish up to the boat and place another arrow in it. Most of us don't realize just how strong these fish can be. I know of others that have been pulled off their boats and had their bows yanked out of their hands. The Retriever reels are the lightest weight reels available.Their are no buttons to forget push.
