TBA Points System

The TBA will be naming a "Bowfisherman of the Year" and "Team of the Year" awards.

This will be done by accumulating points during the year.

Rules and information are below and changes are expected but will be finalized by Feb 27th.Come back and check it out.

T.B.A. POINTS SYSTEM RULES                                                        

1. The points system begins the first sanctioned tournament of the year. (tournament sanction fee $25.00)

2. You must be a member of the T.B.A. to accumulate points.

3. Total points will decide the T.B.A. Bowfishing Team of the Year and the T.B.A. Bowfisherman of the Year. Plaques will be awarded to the winners. Bowfisherman of the year (Youth Division) must be under age 16 by the first sanctioned shoot.

4. Each bowfisherman is responsible for turning in his, /her own points. Points must be turned into the TBA after each sanctioned tournament.

5. 150 points will be given to each individual for every T.B.A. sanctioned shoot attended (towards bowfisherman of the year). 150 points will be awarded to team towards team of the year.

6. 250 points will be given to each individual (towards bowfisherman of the year) for placing lst in a T.B.A. Sanctioned shoot. Points will drop by increments of 10 points per place. 250 points will be awarded to the team.

7. Placing points listed in #6 will be doubled (2x) at the State Championship tournament.

8 150 points will be given to the team for winning the overall big fish of a sanctioned shoot.

9. Team points must be accumulated with the same partner(s).
 

A. 1-man tournaments will not garner any team points, only individual points.
B. 2-man tournaments will garner team points. 1 team created. 1 no show = no team points, individual points only.
C. 2 or 3-man tournaments will garner 3-man team points when 3 men are shooting. Two men shooting, same as two-man shoot. 1 man shooting, individual points only.

10. In the event of a points system tie, the State Championship and citations will be the tie breaker.

11. 25 points for referring a new member. (for Recruiter of the year only) Points for  membership referrals will run throughout the year  membership referrals after the last sanctioned tournament will go towards next years points.

12. Only your best 5 sanctioned tournaments will count. You can shoot in all sanctioned tournaments.

13. Additional 25 points will be awarded for each citation received. Points for citations will run throughout the year and any citations or membership referrals after the last sanctioned tournament will go towards next years points.(for bowfisherman of the year only)

To get your citation and 25 points you must apply for at either TPWD or TBBR. After getting your citation, make a copy and send to Charles Ivy, PO Box 401, CARRIZO SPRINGS, TX. 78834
